AREA56

AREA56 is a ministry for 5th & 6th grade students. It is designed to partner with parents to meet the social, emotional, physical and spiritual needs of this age group.

AREA56 exists to enable 5th & 6th grade students to:

GROW in their faith in Jesus Christ
REACH OUT to non-believing students
CONNECT themselves together, to challenge those growing in faith
DISCOVER their own unique God given abilities and HONOR God with their lives

Matthew 5:6 "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled", is the verse that we will be using to discover what God has to say.

AREA56 will offer a variety of opportunities for the students throughout the week:
        Sunday Mornings:
                9:15 am - We will meet in the Worship Center and sit together for worship.
               10:45 am - We will meet in room 220 for a time of music, Bible study, and fellowship.
        Sunday Evenings:
                6:00 pm - Children's Choir, meet in the Celebration Room
        Wednesday Evenings:
                6:30 pm - Meet in room 220 for a time of music, games and devotions.

Sunday Morning Lessons
We have been laying the foundations for our beliefs and faith over the last couple of months.

In December we had lessons on:
- God the Father
- Jesus the Son
- The Holy Spirit
- The Trinity
In January we have focused on:
- Salvation - Key topics have been
  - "Because everyone has sinned" Romans 3:9-26 Memory verse: Romans 3:23
- Review, student testimony and a time of worship will round out this month.
In February we will focus on:
- Baptism - the significance and response of obedience that this symbolizes
- The Lord's Supper - a worshipful reminder of Jesus' death on the cross
- Church Membership - what it means to become a church member and discover ways to participate in church; serving and caring for one another.
