Adoption Group - Meets 1st Monday of each month, 7-9 PM, room

Our goal is to educate and
encourage families in any stage of adoption, from the first inquiry to after
finalization. We provide information, education, and social events for
families that have been touched by adoption throughout Broken Arrow and the surrounding communities.
We work to promote a positive perception of adoptive family life.
Anger
Management - Wednesday evenings, January
13, 6:30-8 PM, SC 203, 12-weeks. For more information, contact Gaye Call. In
this fun group, you will learn healthier ways of handling anger. The Bible has
much to say about anger. Anger is not a sin—it is what we do with our anger
than can result in harmful, ungodly actions. This is a casual, informative
group.
Boundaries - Wednesday evenings, January 27,
6:30-8 PM, SC 201, 8-week, no charge
Set
limits and still be a loving person. A boundary is a personal property line
that defines appropriate responsibilities. This teaching includes many
scripture references and insights from the Bible. Learn when to say “Yes” and
when to say “No” without feeling guilty or angry.
DivorceCare - CANCELED
DC is a 13-week study and support group for those going through marital
separation or divorce. Think of DivorceCare as an emergency room and you are in
crisis. This group provides a safe environment for people going through the
crisis of divorce. Share and receive support during this crucial time.
Financial Peace University - Wednesday
evenings, January 13, 6:30-8 PM, SC 204, 13-weeks, $90
This life-changing program taught by Dave Ramsey will show you how to make
the right decisions with your money. You'll be empowered with the practical
skills and confidence needed to achieve your financial goals and experience true financial peace! Each of
the 13 lessons deals with a different topic that will change the way you think
about personal finance.
Grief Recovery Support Group - Wednesday evenings, January 13, 6:30-8 PM, room 202, LSM office 9-weeks, $15
This 9-week support group deals with adjusting to losses in life. A loss may be death, divorce, a job change, empty nest, etc. Learn about predictable stages of grief and how to find hope and encouragement. Cost is $15 for this helpful class

Self-esteem.
This is a basic class for anybody! Begin to see yourself from God’s perspective.
Most people are taught from childhood, false beliefs about self esteem rather
than from God’s Word. You can change all of that with this 7-week study. Learn
to see yourself, as God’s child, as totally accepted by God and precious in His
sight with a new identity based on Jesus Christ!
Shelter from the Storm - Monday nights, January 18, 7-9 PM, room 205, 12-weeks, cost $15 for
workbook.
Betrayal. Shame. Fear. Guilt. Loneliness. The feelings that stem from the
storms of sexual abuse can be devastating. Persons who survived this trauma
wonder if they ever can feel physically, spiritually, and emotionally whole
again. Shelter from the Storm: Hope for Survivors of Sexual Abuse gives
hope and encouragement to recovery from the trauma of sexual abuse.
Strength for
the Journey - Monday
evenings, January 18, 7-9 PM, room 207, 10- weeks, $15 for workbook.
Depression
is the #1 health problem in America.
In this study you will meet people in the Bible who experienced God’s presence
and power even in the midst of their discouragement and depression as well. Strength for the Journey helps individuals gain insight into
the symptoms and possible treatments for depression. This practical,
trustworthy study explores five causes of depression: loss, anger, stress,
medical problems, and personal sin.
Successful Stepfamily Support
Group - The group meets periodically
in homes. You may enroll by email
or call 455-5020 X 210.
The comment we hear most often
is, “This group is a lifeline to us – we might not have made it without the
support and encouragement of the group.” We meet periodically to learn new
information about blending a family. The couples in the group share many
experiences, both good and bad, and learn from one another ways of handling
situations. Some of the topics include Strengthening Your Marriage, Children
and Parenting Issues, and Handling Conflict and Fights. Successful Stepfamily
is open to anyone from the just engaged to married for years.
