Children's Ministry
The children’s ministries of Arrow Heights Baptist Church encompasses all children from birth through sixth grade. The teachers at Arrow Heights desire that your children have the best possible experience while they are at church. We utilize a digital check-in system and security policies to ensure your child’s safety while they are in our care, and our programs are designed to effectively communicate the truth of God’s Word in a way that your child can understand. We value our families and children, and we invite you to become a part of our family.
School-Year Activities
Childcare is available during the school year on Sunday and Wednesday evenings from 6 – 8 PM.
- Sunday Evening Choir/Childcare is for those who attend a Sunday evening small group or are involved in Children’s Choir and is for children ages birth – 4 years.
- Wednesday Evening Childcare is for those who serve on Wednesday evenings and is for children for ages birth – 3 years.
AREA 56 is Arrow Heights’ own unique ministry for 5th and 6th grade students. We recognize that this age group is often “stuck” in the middle: too old for young children’s activities, yet not mature enough for the youth group. Enter AREA 56, a ministry designed to partner with you as parents to meet the social, emotional, physical and spiritual needs of your 5th-6th grade students.
AREA 56 exists to help 5th and 6th grade students…
- Grow in their faith in Christ
- Reach out to unbelievers
- Connect with each other so they may challenge those growing in faith
- Discover their own unique, God-given abilities and talents
- Honor God with their lives
AREA 56 meets on Wednesday evenings (beginning September 7) at 6:30 PM in room 228 for a time of music, games and devotion.
AWANA is a fully-integrated evangelism and discipleship program for children ages 4 through 4th grade. AWANA clubs meet during the school year on Wednesday evenings (beginning September 7) from 6:30-8:00 PM, and weekly sessions feature games, small-group Bible learning, as well as large-group Bible teaching, worship and awards. To learn more about the AWANA program, visit their website at www.awana.org.
Children’s Choir at Arrow Heights is designed to invest both musically and spiritually in the lives of your little ones. With graded classes for children ages pre-K through 6th grade, there is a place for your child! Our children’s choirs include music, motions, drama, instruments, hymn memory, games and more. At the end of each semester, our combined children’s choirs present a program for the entire church. There is no cost for your child to attend children’s choir. Under the exceptional direction of Coordinator Keri Akers, Children’s Choir meets each Sunday evening (beginning September 11) throughout the school year, from 6:00-8:00pm.
